Registration is now open – Check out the AWA Calendar of Events for more details and look under our July calendar. [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
Fees increase on July 16th and I know that you want to come but just haven’t sent in your registration yet. This happened last year too and it looked like no one was coming until the last minute when the registrations came flying in and caught us a little off guard. Help us plan for the food and instructors for the weekend otherwise we will have to rethink our plans. It is going to be fun and the water level will be just right.
And don’t forget about the 40th anniversary celebration this year. In 1972 the Alberta Whitewater Association was founded to run the first ever National WW Slalom and Downriver Championships here on the upper Red Deer River.

Join us for the 6th Annual Sundre Paddle Fest - July 20 - 22, 2012 - and help us celebrate 40 years of kayaking on the Upper Red Deer River.

This event is hosted by the Alberta Whitewater Association in conjunction with Paddle Alberta and the Sundre Paddling Club. The event will be based at Red Deer River Ranches, west of Sundre on the Coal Camp Road. Registration closes at 12 noon on Wednesday, July 18. Go to the Zone 4 registration page to register [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

Booking is for 1 room in the ranchhouse for the weekend. or book the whole ranchhouse for a large family or group.

Hunting Cabin #5 is in the main yard next to the campsite area. Showers, kitchen, sitting area and porch make this a nice option for those that want a little comfort with their weekend.
