PostSubject: river classifications   Fri May 27, 2011 3:06 pm

Hi Tony,

Rivers are rated by grade. I have attached the international river grading system. Locally as an example, the Wapiti is class 1, the Red Willow class 2 or 2+ depending on volume, and the Muskeg in Grande Cache is class 3. Hope that helps,

Jim

Other than obstacles present on the river, how would you rate a river as mild, moderate and extreme in terms of cubic meters/second.
