Unfortunately I'll be in Calgary that weekend with family but thanks anyways, I'm sure I'll figure it out, there are some descent videos online for the beginners like myself...

Thanks,
Ryan

The club has pool sessions during the winter. There are only a few left and only one is open to beginners. It looks like there is one more spot open if you hurry to sign-up.

The best way to learn is the annual kayak course. This year it is being offered in 2 parts; flat water (kayak basics) and moving water. As a beginner, you have to do the first before doing the second.

Hope to see you out on the river.

I was just wondering what the best way to get started kayaking would be? Are there any upcoming courses or beginner runs? And where should i get started around town? Any tips?
